Powers Chapman customer service
representative Anissa VanAssche and her
family are strong supporters of the
Epilepsy
Foundation of Michigan.
Anissa’s husband, John, was diagnosed
with epilepsy in 1999 and since then
John has been unable to work. Anissa and
John, together with their two daughters,
rely on the services provided by the
Epilepsy Foundation.

In October of 2013, Powers Chapman
customer service representative, Jackie
Skinner, was watching the local evening
news when she heard about local food
pantries running out of food. The local
pantries were reaching out to
Gleaners
in Detroit only to find Gleaners was
also running out of food. Thanksgiving
was only three weeks away and Jackie,
caring and dedicated as always, knew she
had to do something.
