LegalShield (formerly known as Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc.), is a company that provides legal expense plans to families and individuals. For a low monthly fee, the Company's legal expense plans (referred to as memberships) offer a variety of legal services in a manner similar to medical reimbursement plans or HMOs.

Each state has one or more Provider Firms which meet the legal needs of LegalShield members according to the terms of the legal expense plan. Provider firms are carefully selected and the quality of service is closely monitored to maintain the high standards of LegalShield.

Powers Chapman is the LegalShield Michigan Provider firm and has been since 1994. Our skilled attorneys provide a variety of services to the members, including toll-free phone support, legal document review, free preparation of wills and powers of attorney, free representation on covered traffic matters, free legal representation for covered civil matters, as well as drafting of documents and representation of clients in non-covered matters at a discounted hourly rate available only to LegalShield members.

Powers Chapman litigation department provides significant experience and expertise in a variety of personal injury cases on a contingency basis, including wrongful death, auto/truck accidents, no fault benefits, medical malpractice, slip and falls, and dog bites.

Under some circumstances, LegalShield members may also receive referrals to attorneys of the referral network for covered and non-covered matters. Our network of experienced referral attorneys are carefully screened and constantly monitored to ensure that, like Powers Chapman, they too provide the same high quality of service demanded by LegalShield.
